On September 8 the "China Geopark" theme day publicity activity centering on "Clear Water and Green Mountains on Earth Green Declaration by the Great Wall" was held at the Beijing Yanqing Global Geopark. During the span of the activity the Beijing Yanqing UNESCO Global Geopark initiated the "Geopark Day" declaration hosted a geopark protection and development symposium Miraculous Creation Charming Geology thematic photo exhibition and Yanqing Global Geopark On-site Observation and Exchange among other activities. State Council of China consultants Wang Bingchen and Xie Youyu and Global Geoparks Network President Nickolas Zouros attended the opening ceremony and Deputy Director Li Chunliang of the National Forest and Grassland Administration of China presented commemoration plaques to the seven newly named National Geoparks and one National Mining Park of China.

Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Global Geopark sent delegation to partake in this promotional event as an active show of duty as a Global Geoparks Network and Asia-Pacific Geoparks Network member. Emphatic efforts were dedicated to promote the Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Global Geopark and its unique geologic heritage and strengthen communication and liaison with other members of the National Geoparks of China network so as to learn geologic heritage protection scientific knowledge popularization geotourism development organizational structure and related successful experience from other geoparks cultivate innovative and creative mindset and further elevate work ability and professionalism.
