In order to observe 48th World Earth Day Bazhong Bureau of Land and Resources recently visited China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with Geoparker and held a special lecture on geologic science. About 200 students from 3 institutes sat this lecture.
This activity gained support from College of Earth Science whose Secretary of Party Zhang Xiaohong gave speech for this activity. Fan Xiao senior engineer of Regional Geological Survey Team of Bureau Of Geology and Mineral Resources was invited to give a lecture. The advertising video of Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Geopark kicked off the whole activity and the teachers and students there were all attracted by amazing Guangwushan Mountain and rolling Nuoshuihe River. During the activity Xu Fei leader of Administration of Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Geopark introduced the resources of the park and its building process and Fan Xiao also described geological relics and various creatures with vivid words. She also expressed that the landscape of Guangwushan Mountain is represented by mild shield peak clusters and ridge peak clusters which are different from Northern Karst Landscape where the peaks are steep and stone column are many as in Huangshan Tianzhushan Sanqingshan and which are also different from Southern Karst Landscape where the peaks are steep on the plain as in Guangxi Province and Guizhou Province. After the lecture the teachers and students presented expressed their appeal to Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Geopark and would like to experience such a special scenery.
It is said that this activity will also goes to Tsinghua High School and the beauty of Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Geopark will be brought to Beijing.
