On December 14, 2021, the opening ceremony of digital 9th International Conference on UNESCO Global Geopark was held. As a member of GGN, Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe UGGp has actively participated in it through the whole process.

The International Conference on UNESCO Global Geoparks is held biannually, which is the most important event of GGN. The 9th Conference is hosted by Jeju Island UNESCO Global Geopark, Republic of Korea, lasting for 9 days. Except for the digital conference, many kinds of interaction such as virtual exhibition and virtual trips are open to the public, too.

Up to now, APGN CC meeting and GGN General Assembly were held, and 3-day scientific sessions continue until December 16. In the series of meetings, representatives have discussed the good practices of geoparks, sustainable development goals and many other issues. According to the schedule, the elections of the GGN Executive Board and Advisory Committee Chair, Vice Chair will also be completed during the Conference.
