It's a sunny day in the
warm spring. In the morning of
April 22 the launching ceremony of Bazhong's 50th World Earth Day
themed publicity event was held on the Baren Square. Chen Qiang
Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Deputy Director of the
Natural Resources and Planning Bureau announced the official launch of the
event and Li Jun member of the Leading Party Members' Group and Deputy
Director of the Bureau delivered a speech.
On the day of the
launching ceremony more than 100 publicity workers from the municipal and
district natural resources and planning departments publicized the knowledge of
geoscience and low-carbon concept and China's national conditions policies
and laws concerning natural resources. During the period
14 publicity boards were set up 11 publicity slogan banners were put up more
than 50 inquiries were received from the public and more than 2000 publicity
materials were distributed. Next Bazhong will carry out a series of activities such
as the science popularization in schools and Earth Day knowledge contests in
accordance with the activity week plan to further encourage more participation
in the construction of ecological civilization and boost the public's awareness
of ecological protection.
