Introduction to China Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe UNESCO Global Geopark

Situated in the north of Bazhong City and the south foot of Micangshan Mountain China Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe UNESCO Global Geopark covers an area of 1818 square kilometers spanning Nanjiang County and Tongjiang County. It is composed of seven geological regions namely Taoyuan Daba Eighteen Moon-like Ponds Shenmen Nuoshui Fairyland of Karst Caves Linjiang Valley and Kongshan Sky Basin. Rich in typical rare and unique geological heritage resources with a large scale the Geopark exhibits extremely high scientific research and ornamental values. The main geological heritage is divided into eomorphologic landscape geological section geological structure water landscape palaeobios and environmental and geological heritage landscape totally 160 geological heritage landscapes in 15 subcategories 11 categories and 6 main categories of which there are 5 world-class geological heritages.
