Between April 17 and 19 upon invitation by the host a delegation from the Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Global Geopark visited the Xiangxi Geopark for a survey and exchange activity. During the event the Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Global Geopark survey group paid visits to Xiangxi Geopark's museum under construction the historically and culturally significant town of Furong and two Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) among other resources of the geopark. The two sides sat down in a conference and conducted in-depth exchanges about work such as creation of the Global Geoparks and on-site assessment. The meeting was beneficial for both sides to further promote their own development and strengthen cooperation between sister parks.
