From 29th March to 30th March Wang Min the former vice minister of Ministry of Land and Resources and president of China Association of Geological Hazard Prevention visits Nanjiang and checks the reconstruction after 5.12 Wenchuan Earthquake hazard prevention work and and those who come with him are Zhu Mingcang deputy director general of Land and Resources Department Of Sichuan Province Hu Tao leader of Provincial Geological Environment Section QiuChengping Deputy Mayor of People's Government of Bazhong Liu Kai Deputy Mayor of People's Government of Bazhong and Nanjiang County Party secretary and He Yuan Governmental Deputy Secretary general.
Right after 5.12 Earthquake stroke Nanjiang Minister Wang Min came to Qiaoting to lead rescuing work. Even 9 years had gone Wang still concerns about the reconstruction of Qiaoting. On 29th March he gets to know the living standard of local people from local officers and some policies of reconstruction implementation as well as progress of related work after he checks the reconstruction work in the rain. Then after one-hour driving he arrives at Guangwushan-Nuoshuihe Geopark for more survey. After visiting the Sinian-Cambrian boundary Jiaguoshan Peak Cluster Natural Gallery and Geological Museum，Wang thumbs up for the development of Nanjiang County during the past 9 years.
Wang points out that as Nanjiang is one of the counties highly vulnerable to geological hazards in whole China the reconstruction work must be steady and good which should be always the foremost of work in order to ensure the safety of people and their wealth; second investment should be done to build geological hazards prevention system and to improve foreseeability; third the extraordinary ecological views should be well protected especially Guangwushan Mountain which has plenty blossoms in Spring green waves in Summer red tree leaves in Autumn and white snow in Winter enjoying great fame of “ The Longest Natural Red Carpet in Asia” and “ The Best Red Leaves on Earth”. Meanwhile geological recovery work should also be done to realize the sustainable development of the area.
